Web Client Home Page & Dashboard

The ILLiad Web Client provides a modern, browser-based interface for staff to manage interlibrary loan requests and workflows.

New to the Web Client?

For a tour of the navigation menu, toolbar, and responsive interface, see Understanding the Interface. This page focuses on the home page and dashboard — request queues, the barometer, and system alerts.

Accessing the Web Client

The Web Client is accessed at the /illiadstaff path on your ILLiad server — for example:

https://[institution].illiad.atlas-sys.com/illiadstaff
Important

The illiadstaff portion of the URL must be lowercase.

Home Page Components

The Web Client home page provides quick access to all major features through an intuitive interface consisting of several key components.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the central workspace of the Web Client, displaying request queues organized by process type.

Queue List

The queue list displays the number of requests in each queue:

  • Tabs: Separate tabs for each process type (Borrowing, Lending, and Document Delivery)
  • Groups: Queues are organized into collapsible groups
  • Synchronization: Uses the same queue groups as the desktop client
  • Updates: Saved changes made to groups in either the desktop or web client are synchronized

Queue Management

Opening Queues:

  • Double-click a queue (or select it and press Enter) to open it and view the list of requests

Organizing Queues:

  • Drag and drop queues into different groups
  • Select a queue and press Shift+Up or Shift+Down to move it within its group
  • Right-click a queue (or select it and press Ctrl+F10) to access additional options:
    • Move to Category: Move the queue to an existing group, or create a new group
    • Hide Queue: Hide the queue from the list
    • Reset to Default Layout: Restore the default queue and group arrangement
  • Right-clicking a group provides only the Reset to Default Layout option

Saving Changes:

  • After rearranging, hiding, or regrouping queues, a Save button appears. Your changes are not applied—or synchronized with the desktop client—until you select Save.
tip

Queue organization is shared between the desktop and web clients. Any saved changes you make to queue groups will appear in both interfaces.

Barometer

The Barometer provides a quick overview of system activity:

  • Displays the number of active requests in each process type
  • Uses the same BarometerExclusions setting as the desktop client
  • Provides at-a-glance workload visibility

System Alerts

The System Alerts section displays important system notifications:

  • Shows the same alerts as the desktop client
  • Provides real-time information about system status and issues
  • Helps staff stay informed about system-wide events
