Self-hosted Ares sites can find the Ares Server Installer files and detailed installation instructions at Installing the Ares Server.
Please consider running updates and installations during standard support hours 8 am - 5 pm eastern time (business days Monday - Friday) so that help is readily available if any issues are encountered.

Ares Client Installer
Note: Ares Client Installers prior to v5.0.7 contain a deprecated version (v1.3.2) of the Atlas SQL Alias Manager (SAM). To ensure that the SAM application is updated to the latest version (v1.3.3), please run the standalone SAM installer either before or after running the Ares Client Installer. If SAM v1.3.3 has already been installed, running the Ares Client Installers will not roll back the SAM to v1.3.2.
This file includes the Ares Client, Customization Manager, and Staff Manager.
Note that you cannot install a new major version of the Ares Client until your Ares Server has been updated to that version (e.g. your Ares Server must be updated to 5.0.x to install Ares Client 5.0.x). Sites upgrading from a previous major Ares version to the next major version (e.g., from v4.7 to v5.0) should use the latest available version of the Ares Client Installer for the new major version to install the new client application.

Note: Several Ares Client Installers are incremented ahead of the version of the Ares Client that will be installed:
- The 5.0.6 Client Installer available below will install v5.0.5 of the Ares Client
- The 5.0.5 Client Installer available below will install v5.0.4 of the Ares Client
- The 5.0.4 Client Installer available below will install v5.0.3 of the Ares Client
- The 5.0.3 Client Installer available below will install v5.0.2 of the Ares Client

Web Pages
A complete set of the Ares default web pages. For a copy of the most up-to-date Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), see Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
Note that the Ares Web DLL must first be updated to the indicated required version before the latest version of the default web pages can be installed. Legacy copies of the default web pages are also available for download that can be used with previous versions of the Web DLL, but will not contain new features added in later versions of the web pages.

LMS Default Web Pages
A new set of default web pages to be used in conjunction with Learning Management Systems like Canvas. These pages are not included in the installer and must be set up manually.

Atlas SQL Alias Manager
A standalone installer is available for download below that will update the Atlas SQL Alias Manager (SAM) to v1.3.3 to fix an issue affecting prior versions of the application installed by the Ares Client Installer. Note that after SAM v1.3.3 is installed, running Ares Client Installers will not roll back the SAM to the previous version.
