The Layout Tree View

Overview

The Layout Tree View provides a hierarchical outline of all items on your page. This view allows you to:

• Click on items in the Layout Tree View to select the corresponding item on the page
• Click on items on the page to highlight them in the Layout Tree View
• Navigate your layout without losing information or needing to revert to default settings

Understanding Field Name Display

Customization Text and Field Customization Text Views

All fields in the Layout Tree View are displayed in the format: Customization Text (Field Customization Text)

For example: Username (User Name) or ILLiad Authentication (ILLiad Authentication)

Field Name Components

• Customization Text (first name) - The original field name as it would normally display without customizations
• Field Customization Text (name in parentheses) - What currently appears on the form by default or as edited in the client or Field Customizations table

Special Cases

Some forms use differentiated naming to distinguish between user types:

• Merge Users form: New Username (Username) vs Existing Username (Username)
