Importing Lending Requests

warning
  • Rush and Urgent Patient Care requests must be receipted the same day they are routed.
  • Normal requests must be receipted within one business day after routing.

In ILLiad 10, DOCLINE lending requests are brought into ILLiad through the DOCLINE API — there is no embedded DOCLINE browser to work in. Requests can come in two ways:

  • Automatically. The ILLiad System Manager imports and receipts incoming lending requests on a schedule. You choose which service levels import automatically — Normal, Rush, and/or Urgent Patient Care — by enabling the DoclineAutoImportNormal, DoclineAutoImportRush, and DoclineAutoImportUrgentPatientCare customization keys (each is No by default, so automatic import is opt-in per service level).
  • On demand. Click Import DOCLINE Requests on the Lending ribbon (DOCLINE Processing group) to pull pending requests immediately. This is useful if you want to bring requests in without waiting for the next automatic cycle.

Both paths import the request and send a receipt confirmation back to DOCLINE. For the full import behavior — field translation, duplicate handling, and the results dialog — see Docline API Lending Requests.

After importing

Imported requests appear in the Awaiting Lending Request Processing queue (or the Awaiting RUSH Request Processing / Awaiting Urgent Patient Care Processing queues, by service level). To work them, see Processing Lending Docline Requests.
